Travel as Means to Escape
People concern themselves with everyday responsibilities and they let the little things irritate them. They are so stressed about working, raising kids, making hard decisions, spending or saving money, rushing to work, etc., that stuff as peace and relaxation tend to get forgotten. Travelling can remind us what it is like to separate yourself from this part of your life and just live in the moment. To help you fight fast-paced life here are some places to make you leave your stress behind.
Brisighella the Village with Italian Magic
Starting with one very peaceful destination in Italy- Brisighella. Imagine Italy from the romantic movies, well basically that is this little city as it contains all the needed things for a slow-paced walk:
- verdant green hills of vines
- castles
- greenery
- coziness
It is quite the perfect match for relaxation as you can just sit on your terrace and drink wine from the town’s winery or walk in the night where little lights hanging over your head are showing you the ways to the high hill at the end of the city. There are plenty of traditional Italian cafés and gelato shops. The place is not swamped with tourists, no matter on or off-season and the travel is cheap for an average working adult. Although only Brisighella is mentioned, it is a perfect stop as part of Emilia Romagna’s week visit. One can take a flight to Bologna and then take a train to the closest city near the airport, and then take the normal train to Brisighella.
San Marino the Country You Did not Know Exists
Many think of San Marino as a city, whereas is actually a pocket-sized country and it is actually the oldest republic in the world. What makes this place special? Well after explaining, the answer is what is not special:
- 5th smallest country in the worlds
- They use Euro without being in the European Union
- Two presidents, as each serves 6 months of a year
- Having bigger documented history than 63% of the whole world
- Their own calendar
In short San Marino is special. It is the perfect next destination after visiting Emilia Romagna, one of Italy’s most famous regions, as the two countries are 1 hour away. As there are many things to be done you should spend at least one night. There are a lot of packages for one-day travel, but it is not worth seeing such a unique country for less than 10 hours. The country is very affordable despite using euros but that might not be for a very long time as San Marino is the fastest-growing country in EU destinations. Finally, how to get to this treasure? There is an airport in Rimini and from there is a train to San Marino, another way is to Bologna, but you will have to switch trains.
Tara Canyon and Pluzine the Sight You Will Never Forget
This canyon is located in Montenegro and it is mesmerizing. The sight is astonishing and really just makes you want to just sit there and watch. While Montenegro is famous for its coastlines and old town of Kotor going up in the mountains, which actually gave the country’s name, it will give you experience like nothing else. The place to stay is Pluzine. Off the chart’s beauty and no internet, only a cabin near the mountains, warm welcome by the hosts, as it is said that the whole nation is very friendly. The drive to the canyon is maybe the best way to warm-up before the canyon itself, as the sights you see, could not be seen anywhere else. People tend not even to talk, while travelling. A local story says that when the hosts start driving, they know where and when exactly the tourists are going to say “Wow” and say it with them. The beauty of this place is enormous and there are very few countries, possible to influence tourists that way. If you want to go alone you have to rent a car, but there are also groups which travel by bus and an interesting way is water-rafting camping. If this place does not make you forget about your everyday life, then there is no other place that can help you do that. With all said, Montenegro is a top-tourist spot for many years now, and it still be.
Conclusion
In conclusion, there is magic in every place. Once found it becomes popular in some societies even if it is a small one. Places such as up mentioned ones are not very famous. Even the Tara Canyon is less famous than the thousands of other cities that are just concrete and buildings. The fast-paced life and the stress is something that can make one sick, so a piece of advice goes travel, there is nothing like travelling.
